Outstanding Student of the Year
Every year the College of Liberal Arts asks each department to select their outstanding student(s) for that year- students who possess the passion and creativity for new discoveries and scholarship, students who demonstrate independence of thought and action in the pursuit of knowledge, and students who exemplify excellence.

Accelerated MA in Professional Communication
"I really wanted to be a part of the high quality education that UAF provides, but
I didn't want to go off to college because I am so connected to my community here
in Soldotna doing volunteer work, community service, teaching dance classes at my
local studio, working at Edward Jones, and so so much more. I decided to enroll as
an online student and it's been amazing. I've been able to learn on my own schedule,
I've saved a lot of money, and most importantly, I've been able to create my own fulfilling
college experience that works for me."
