ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ

Sara Leber is a Certified Public Accountant and a Senior Internal Auditor for Internal Audit and Advisory Services. She has more than 16 years of audit experience. Prior to joining the ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ in October of 2024, she held various auditing positions at the Nebraska Auditor of Public Accounts and in the private sector. She also has more than 2 years of grant experience with the State of Nebraska.

Sara’s primary responsibilities include working across all four campuses identifying key business risks and internal controls; developing audit objectives; reviewing for compliance with university policies, state regulations, and federal regulations; and reviewing detailed accounting transactions.

Sara earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree with an emphasis in accounting and management from Midland Lutheran College. She is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors.

Sara and her husband Matt have three children, Logan, Ethan, and Aidan.
